Mr. Williams the Photographer has returned from Layson Island by the schooner Liholiho. He has a very fine lot of views to add to his already immense stock. Collector General of Customs Cleghorn has taken oath of allegence His office is worth more that the prospect of being father to a Queen. Royalty is at a discount now. Jos. Nawahi is editor of Ea Leo. he is the ablest and honestest of the old order of Hawaiians; but is fatally behind the times. The American guards and officers at the Government house receive the highest praise from all who come in contact with them. The Clandine is expected back in the early part of next week. Company A of the volunteer forces of the Provisional Government will be reorganized to-night, Marital law is suspended after this week. It has made very little difference in the administration of justice while in effect. There is to be a vice-president of the Provisional Government. THE LIBERAL nominated Hon. Sam. Damon for the honorary position. The U.S. marines have had a hard day's works scrubbing out the legislative hall to remove traces of the Portuguese occupation.
