MAKAHIKI CHALLENGE (9TH ANNUAL) Dec. 14, 7 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Kualoa Ranch hosts the 9th Annual Makahiki Challenge "Get Lepo" (Get Dirty), the state's first 5K Obstacle Mud Run. This year, Makahiki Challenge is introducing the new Ho'oikaika Heat that will put challengers through more physically demanding tasks between obstacles (hill climbs, bear crawls). The Makahiki Challenge is open to anyone age 14+ (minors need parent permission) of any fitness level. Participants ean enter as individuals or groups. Registration fees range from $84 - $100. Kualoa, O'ahu. KEIKI MAKAHIKI CHALLENGE (2ND ANNUAL) Dec. 15, 7 to 11 a.m. This 1.5 mile mud-run at Kualoa Ranch will feature 10 obstacles

designed to introduce the keiki to the world of obstacle course racing including tire step, mini slide, mini mud pit and a tunnel crawl. The Keiki Makahiki Challenge is open to ages 5-13 and is easy enough for children of every level to do. One parent/guardian ean run with their keiki for an additional $10.
