SPENDING LIMIT

$1,771,258 SPECIAL PROGRAMS lncludes grants, federal funding for specific projects (including the Hālawa Luluku lnterpretive Development Project and the Native Hawaiian Revolving Loan Fund Program, and other miscellaneous ineome. $2,991,004 STATE OF HAWAI'I GENERAL FUNDS General Fund appropriations by the State Legislature. $11,984,724 PROPERTY lncludes expenditures directly related to implementing program activities, services-on-a-fee and legal services.

$17,658,436 5% OF THE NHTF PORTFOLIO The Native Hawaiian Trust Fund includes OHA's investment portfolio. Spending limit is calculated at 5% of a 20-quarter rolling average market value to ensure resources are available for future spending. $15,100,000 PUBLIC LAND TRUST REVENUE State law says OHA is entitled to 20 percent of receipts from the use or sale of the public land trust. Since 2006, the legislature has authorized an interim amount at $15.1 million per year until it takes further action.
