On behalf of the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), the State of Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDOT) would like to invite you to participate in Section 106 consultation for the Pali Highway Improvements, Vineyard Boulevard to Kamehameha Highway project in accordance with the Section 106 consultation under Nahonal Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Chapter 343 Hawaii Revised Statutes. The project corridor is 7.7 miles in length and is located within Honolulu Ahupuaa in the Kona District, and the Kailua Ahupuaa in the Koolaupoko District. The proposed Area of Potential Effect (APE) is synonymous with the State right-of-way. The improvements include cold planing, resurfacing, reconstruction of weakened pavement areas, installation of new highway lighting,
