Veterans and Small Business Forum
i The Hawai'i Veterans and Small Business Forum will highlight government contracting on Thursday, April 17 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Hale Koa Hotel, 2055 Kālia Road, DeRussy Ballroom, in WaikM. The forum brings together existing and aspiring small businesses owners - including owners who are veterans or service-disabled veter-
ans - to leam, network and market their businesses, along whh prime contractors, contracting officers and any business interested in government procurement. The keynote speaker will be Jennifer Sabas, former chief of staff for the late U.S. Sen. Daniel Inouye, who is now executive director of Move O'ahu Forward, a rail advocacy group. Forum participants include the Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transit, Small Business Administration and Veterans Administration. The Hawai'i Procurement īeehnieal Assistance Center, or HI-PTAC, is a main organizer of the forum, along with the Chamber of Commerce of Hawai'i, Hawai'i Department of Transportation and Hawai'i Small Business Development Center. HI-PTAC is funded by the federal government and the Office of Hawaiian Affairs.
