NĀ HOA, MUSIC'S SHINING STARS

lt was Nā Hoa's night to shine at the 36th annual Nā Hōkū Hanohano Awards as Keoni Souza, left, Ikaika Blackburn and Halehaku Seabury-Akaka won four awards for their self-titled debut alhum. The traditional Hawaiian music trio won for group of year, most promising artist, Hawaiian music alhum of the year, and alhum of the year, whieh they shared with co-producer Dave Tucciarone. Other winners include Weldon Kekauoha for male vocalist of the year for Pilialoha and favorite entertainer of the year (decided by puhlie vote); Brittni Paiva for 'ukulele alhum of the year for īell U WhaīanA instrumental composition of the year (composer award) for the album's title song; and Manu Boyd for his debut solo alhum Mele 'Ailana: Manu Boyd lsland Music, for Hawaiian language performance and liner notes, whieh he shared with Robert Cazimero and Shawn Livingston Moseley. - Phoīo: Hiek Masagatani
