Sense of place workshop
The Office of Hawaiian Affairs is presenting a free workshop focusing on a Hawaiian sense of plaee from 6 to 9 p.m. May 6 at the J. Walter Cameron Center, 95 Mahalani St. in Wailuku, Maui. Katrina-Ann Kapaanaokalāokeola 01iveira will discuss how the 'āina and what we do to care for it defines who and what we are. A Maui native, 01iveira is an associate professor and director of Kawaihuelani Center for Hawaiian Language at the University of Hawai'i-Mānoa and a recipient of a 2012 Mellon-Hawai'i Postdoctoral Fellowship.
