Waikiki to host Indigenous Education Conference

The 10th annual Ku'i Ka Lono - Indigenous Education Conferenee provides a unique venue to share best practices in indigenous education with native students and educators from around the world. Held March 8 and 9 at the Waiklkl Beach Marriott Resort and Spa, the first day will feature student, teacher and community presentations with cultural performances in the evening. The second day includes site visits to several puhlie charter schools and service-learn-ing projects. The puhlie is invited to attend. Ku'i Ka Lono is sponsored by Na Lei Na'auao - Native Hawaiian Charter School Allianee comprised of 12 independent Hawaiianfocused charter schools. The Office of Hawaiian Affairs, Kamehameha Schools and Hawai'i Puhlie Charter School Network are supporters. Registration deadline is March 5.
