Input sought on immer sion school for Kealakehe

The public is invited to attend a conununity meeting on a potential Hawaiian inunersion school in Kealakehe on Hawai'i Island. The meeting will address discussions to have a school in Kealakehe to meet the needs of the increasing population there.

Topics include the development of the school's campus and curriculum, what parents want for their Hawaiian ehikhen in relation to education and how parents and the community would support the transition of a Hawaiian inunersion school in general. The meeting will be held lune 21 at 6 p.m. at the West Hawai'i Civic Center. It is sponsored by QLCC in partnership with Ke Kula 'o 'Ehunuikaimalino, Office of Hawaiian Affairs, Kamehameha Schools and the state Education Department.
