CALLING KULEANA LAND HOLDERS

The City and County of Honolulu recently established a real-property tax exemption for designated kuleana lands. The deadline to file a elaim for the exemption is Sept. 30 of the preceding tax year for whieh the exemption is claimed. The exemption application form is available at www.co.honolulu.hi.us/rpa/bfsrpp32.pdf. OHA also would like to hear from you to help gather information that could assist in the development of laws in other counties that would exempt kuleana lands from certain land taxes.
