On Dec. 6, young Hawaiians were honored by the Office of Hawaiian Affairs for their contributions to OHA's second annual Nā 'Ōiwi 'Ōlino essay, poster and debate contest. More than 250 entries were received in the poster, English essay, Hawaiian essay and photo essay divisions, representing charter and Hawaiian immersion schools statewide.
