"The Living Nation," a group organized to honor and learn our history as Hawaiians, is planning a series of commemorative events at 'Iolani Palaee during the week of Jan. 1 3 - 17, 2003. The week-long observance — with its theme "Hawai'i Loa, Kū Like Kākou" (All Hawai'i Stand Together) — includes a 110-hour vigil on the palaee grounds throughout the week, speakers, entertainment, educational displays and booths. The observance will culminate in a peaee march from Aloha Tower to 'Iolani Palaee on Friday, Jan. 17, beginning at 8 a.m. Participation by interested individuals, 'ohana and organizations is encouragedand weleome.
