Ka Wai Ola - Office of Hawaiian Affairs, Volume 17, Number 7, 1 July 2000 — Commendation [ARTICLE]
Commendation
In these past few months, the care and eoneem for our kupuna iwi at Waimea has been outstanding. It would not have been successful without these people: Ka'iana Markell; Nathan Napoka; the members of the O'ahu Burial Council; Paul Cleghom and his team of archaeologists; Pat Hung, Federal Highway Division, and his team; the work crew of Goodfellow, for their consideration and
eoneem; Rick Ortiz, our cultural monitor, for his respect, experience and eoneem for our culture and families. If anyone needs an expert cultural monitor, I highly recommend him as he did wonders in the care of our kupuna iwi.
