Made in Hawaiʻi Festival

More than 100 businesses participated in the Made in Hawai'i Festival held Aug. 14-16 at the Neal Biaisdell Exhibition Hall where the loeal products showcased attracted 22,000 interested kama'āina and malihini. Among those displayed were koa music boxes and other wood products from Music Boxes of Hawai'i's Aloha Tower outlet (above, foreground) and fashions designed by Maile Amorin of Maiie Visions, ine. (background). Both businesses are recipients of capital from the Native Hawaiian Revolving Loan Fund administered by the Office of Hawaiian Affairs, as are James Lovell and Associates (koa products), Pualoa and Co. (pareus), Big lsland Woodworks (koa products), Kīlauea General Store (fruit preserves) and Kāpala'ahu (screened apparel), a 1 1 of whieh OHA sponsored at the festival.
