OHA Native Plant Proiect needs a home
OHA's Native Plant Project, Ho'oulu Mea Kanu, is looking for a site with a threeyear lease in Windward or Central O'ahu. At the minimum the project is 10oking for one acre (flat) with possible expansion space. There should be water, preferably agricultural, near the site. The site should have electricity, be easily accessible, visible, secured and have parking. There should be office space with two and half rooms and a bathroom. Access to a training facility to accommodate 20 people is desirable.
At the maximum the project is looking for seven to 10 flat acres with a 2,400 squarefoot hard cover propagation unit and a 4,800 square-foot shadehouse. The site should be irrigated with agricultural water and regulated by an electrical timer system. It should be secured, easily accessible to the community and have a visible road sign.
