Praise for QLCC I have been taking classes at the Queen Lili'uokalani Children's Center (QLCC) in Hau'ula and l'm enjoying it extremely! Their welcoming staff shows the aloha spirit from the time you enter to the time you leave. Every week I look forward to the 'ono snacks! I'm taking 'ukulele and arts and crafts. My kumu are experienced in what they teach. For arts and crafts, my kumu teaches us how to make fish hooks out of bone, eanoe paddles, miniature canoes
out of koa, and Hawaiian poems and legends. Best of all, I take home the knowledge he teaches me and the things I made. QLCC is a hands-on, wholesome learning environment for Hawaiian keiki. QLCC has really taught me a lot about my Hawaiian culture. Mahalo to my kumu and Queen Lili'uokalani Children's Center. Matthew Kawika Ortiz Age 1 1 Lā'ie
