Alu Like entrepreneurship training For Hawaiians interested in starting up or expanding a business, Alu Like's Business Development Center's Entrepreneurship Training classes provide that opportunity. Subjects covered include business attitudes, marketing, organization, financial management, business planning, and ongoing management. The schedule for upcoming classes is as follows: April 22 Maui; April 29 Waimānalo/Kailua; May 23, Honolulu; June 17, Hau'ula; June 17, Moloka'i; and June 17, Kaua'i. The Honolulu classes are two hours eaeh evening, three times a week for seven weeks and held at the Alu Like Business Development Center in the Maunakea Marketplace. Six-hour classes will be conducted over a period of six consecutive
Saturdays in Waimānalo/Kailua at Keolu Elementary School, 1416 Keolu Drive, and in Hau'ula at the Queen Lili'uokalani Children's Center's Windward office at 53516 Kamehameha Hwy. Locations for Moloka'i, Maui and Kaua'i are still pending. Space is limited. Call 524-1225 to receive further information and applications. Alu Like honored Alu Like, ine. will be honored by the YWCA of O'ahu on April 19 for its organizational achievements. The event will be honoring contributions made by and for women. Alu Like is one of Hawai'i's largest private, multi-service, nonprofit agencies assisting Hawaiians. It will be cited for its consistent service to Hawaiians and Hawai'i and for demonstrating a clear commitment to the advancement of women in society and the workplace.
