FREE GRANTWRITING WORKSHOPS ON MAUI AND OʻAHU
The Office of Hawaiian Affairs will be holding free grantwritng workshops on Maui and O'ahu next month. The Maui workshop will be held Saturday, March 11, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Maui Community College student lounge. Two workshops will be held on O'ahu. The first will be held Saturday, March 18 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Queen Lili'uokalani Children's Center in Punalu'u. The second will be held Saturday, April 1 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Wai'anae Satellite City Hall conference room. These workshops are tailored for Hawaiian nonprofit and community groups with no previous grantwriting experience. The workshops also cover the basics of starting a nonprofit organization. Participants will learn how to: • Develop a project idea • Draft a proposal • Draft a budget • Identify funding sources Preregistration is required for all participants and registration is limited to 25 persons.
