BYU genealogy meet set for June

i;5 ■ : ' ■ II : ; A genealogy conferenee is scheduled for June 21-22 on the campus of Brigham Young UniversityHawai'i in Lā'ie. E Ho'omana'o Kākou (Let Us Remember) will feature numerous family history displays and a variety of workshops, covering such topics as beginning family history research, doing family histories through computers and talk story sessions, oral history, and utilizing resources such as the State Archives, Bishop Museum, and the Bureau of Conveyances. There will also be pointers on doing Hawaiian home lands research and tracing Hawaiian, Asian, and other ethnic genealogies. Hawaiian genealogists Edith McKinzie and Marie Kaina are scheduled to give presentations. The Office of Hawaiian Affairs Operation 'Ohana staff will be on hand to provide information and register Hawaiians. There will be a registration fee of $15.
