ʻAha ʻŌpio O OHA 1993 convenes this month
The Office of Hawaiian Affairs' sixth youth legislature, 'Aha 'Opio O OHA, is scheduled for June 21-26 in Honolulu. Sixty high school students from across
the state and

as delegates and g e t " h a n d s
on" experi- ^ enee in the
workings ot government. They'll learn the ins and outs of the legislative process and then write, introduce, debate and pass or kill their own bills. All of this will take plaee within a Hawaiian cultural eontext.
'Aha 'Ōpio is conducted annually by OHA's education division, with the Kūpuna Team pitching in to provide the eultural element. Sessions are

The public is invited to attend the opening ceremonies, 9:30 a.m. at Kawaiaha'o Church on Monday, June 21, and closing ceremonies, from 2-3 p.m. at St. Andrew's Cathedral on Friday, June 25.
