story of Hawaii's history. The designs were approved by the Office of Hawaiian Affairs Board of Trustees, and Royal Hawaiian Mint has agreed to donate a percentage of the sale of eaeh silve ror gold eoin set to scholarships administered by the new OHA Education Foundation. The "Overthrow Silver Dala" bears the likeness of Queen Lili'uokalani and her eall, "Oh honest Americans, as Christians, hear me." This poignant appeal to the American people for justice continues to have power today as her hope for restoration of her throne remains unanswered. Her motto "'Onipa'a" ("Steadfast") is shown on the reverse. The "Hawaiian Sovereign" eoin honors King Kamehameha 1, his unification of the islands and establishment of the Hawaiian monarchy.
