OHA Kupuna conference Oct. 29

Kupuna are invited to participate in the Office of Hawaiian Affairs' Education Division's fourth 'Aha Kupuna from Oct. 29-30 at the Princess Ka'iulani Hotel, Waikiki, O'ahu. Explorations in various aspects of natural phenomena will be studied. The OHA Papahana Kupuna goal is to explore and advocate for the Kupuna role in reaffirming the Hawaiian 'Ohana and their transition into the future. This year's theme — Mai Ke Akua Mai Ka Mana

— was chosen after statewide Kupuna Kuka, a huaka'i that was a reminder of the beauty and legacy of Hawai'i. Participation is limited to 200 Kupuna.
