Scholarships offered
For the third year, 'Ahahui Kapi'olani will provide scholarships for native Hawaiians currently pursuing a degree in higher education at an accredited university or college. Although all native Hawaiians are invited to apply, preferences will be given to those in colleges of education or those studying the fine arts. Awards will be given on Dec. 31, the anniversary of Queen Kapiolani's birthday at a commemorative service at Mauna 'Ala. The recipient and/or a representative must be present to receive the scholarship whieh ranges up to $2,500. Applicant will need transcripts and three letters of recommendation along with the application postmarked by Nov. 30. I
