ʻIolani Palace offers free holiday tour

As a holiday gift to the community, 'lolani Palaee will be open for special free evening tours of the Throne Room from Wed. Dec. 26, to Sat. Dec. 29. The crowns, scepter and sword of state, recently returned to the Palaee, will be on display. The interior lighting of the Palaee recreates the late 1880s period w>th exact duplicates of the light bulbs King Kalakaua had installed in 1887. The exterior of the Palaee and its grounds will be decorated with oriental lanterns, recreating Palaee decorations used for festive evening events held in the iate 1800s. Tours will be conduc'ed every 10 minutes from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Reservations are highly recom-
