Computer course testing is open

There are still opportunities for applicants to test for admission in Class XI whieh begins June 18, according to Pikake Wahilani, executive director of the Hawai'i Computer Training Center (HICTC) an Alu Like ine. project. Testing will be conducted at the Center's facilities at 33 South King Street, Suite 300, every Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. beginning on March 16 and continuing until enrollment is met. Applicants will be tested in basic mathematics, English and typing. The 15-week, tuition-free program runs from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily and will include all of the following: business mathematics and English, Cortez Peters championship typing, office procedures, operations of the IBM PC-XT DisplayWrite 3, pre-employment preparationandjob placement assistance. People of Hawaiian ancestry are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to prepare themselves for employment in the business world.
