In 1986, Senator lnouye was presented with Kamehameha Schools/Bishop Estate's highest honor, the Ke Ali i Pauahi Award, in acknowledgement of his extraordinary effort at the national level to heighten awareness of and concern for the unique and significant needs of Native Hawaiians. This month, he is again being honored, this time by the Association of Hawaiian Civic Clubs.
