Next month the Office of Hawāiian Affairs will publish a special election edition of Ka Wai Ola O OHA. It is designed to provide our readers with information about candidates for the Office of Hawaiian Affairs as well as other state and federal offices.

Candidates will receive letters asking them to furnish us with brief resumes as well as their answer to a single question: " What is your position on providing the Office of Hawaiian Affairs full entitlement to its lawful share of the public land trust?"

We will print the resumes and question responses in a special edition of our newspaper whieh will be distributed towards the end of October. We will also note those candidates who decline to participate.

Candidates will be asked to furnish us with photographs to go with the information requested. If no photos are available, Ka Wai Ola O OHA will arrange to photograph the candidate at OHA's Honolulu office free of charge. In order to meet publication deadlines, all responses to the questionnaire must be received by 4:30 p.m. September 20th.
