Cheddar Luau Pie (Hawaii Food Products ine.) 54 eup luau, cooked, drained 1H eup shredded cheddar cheese 2 T flour 1 eup milk 4 eggs, beaten 4 crispy cooked bacon slices, crumbled 54 T salt Dash of pepper 9" unbaked pastry shell or filo pastry* Drain Luau well on absorbent paper. Toss cheese withflour. Add luau, milk, eggs, bacon and seasonings; mix well. Pour into pastry shell. Bake at 350 degrees, 45 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out elean. Garnish with bacon if desired. *If using filo pastry, grease pie pan, lay one sheet of filo, brush with melted butter, repeat layers at least 12 times. Fill shell as directed.

Cold Pasta Crab Salad (Hawaiian Hula Dressing) 6 02. Pasta, cooked and cooled 1 tbsp. olive oil or salad oil 1 tsp. Fresh basil, chopped or dried 1 tsp. chopped parsley 2 tbsp. Papaya seed or Maui onion dressing 1 tbsp. macadamia nuts, diced and roe>sted '/4 tsp fresh garlic, minced 2 Oz. crab Salt, white pepper, parmesan cheese (optional) Heat oil and garlic, do not burn, let eool, mix all ingredients together. Add salt and pepper to taste. Top with grated parmesan cheese. Shoyu Chicken (Aloha Shoyu) 1 whole ehieken 14 eup Aloha Shoyu 3 tsp. wine or sake 1 pieee ginger 1 tsp. oyster sauce. 1 clove garlic 2 tbsp. panko Cut ehieken into parts (pre-cut slices are fine also). Then fry with panko sprinkled on pieces. Add clove of garlic, wine, ginger etc. Cook over low heat until meat is tender.

Poi Nut Bread (Honolulu Poi 1 bag poi (1 lb. 1 Oz. Taro Brand) 3 eggs slightly beaten 1 eup salad oil 2 tsp. Vanilla 14 eup chopped walnuts 54 eup raisins 54 eup shredded coconut 3/4 eup water 2 cups water 2 cups flour 1 eup sugar 2 tsp. einnamon 2 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt 14 eup pitted date - sprinkle flour over dates to avoid sticking. Preheat oven to 350degrees. Mix poi and water, blend well. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, einnamon, baking soda and sa!t. Add eggs, salad oil and vanilla. Stir in poi. Add walnuts, coconut, raisins and dates. Pour into well buttered loaf pans. Bake 45 min. Makes 2 loaves.
