SFCA Fund Requests Due July 15
The State Foundation on Culture and the Arts (SFCA) announces that organizations may apply for funds to help sponsor culture, arts and humanities activities occurring between July 1, 1989, and June 30, 1990, or between July 1, 1990, and June 30, 1991. Referred to as Purchases of Service (POS) funds, application deadline for these funds is Friday, July 15, 1988. Project proposals should be aimed at promoting, perpetuating or encouraging cultural, arts or humanjties activities for the benefit of Hawaii's people. To be eligible for consideration, these proposals must be submitted by a federally tax exempt nonprofit organization or by an incorporated profit organization that has a stated public purpose. POS proposals may be submitted in the following categories: arts-in-education; community arts;
ethnic heritage/folk arts; humanities; literary arts; media arts; performing arts (dance/theater); performing arts (music/opera) or visual and environmental arts. Proposals should reflect careful planning and address needs in the community.
