Cemetary Photo Exhibit on Dispiay Jan. 5-12
I ♦ By popular demand, the cemetary photo exhibit, "Graven Images" will be on display at the Amfac Center Gallery January 5-12. Produced by Nanette Napoleon Pumell of The Cemetary Research Project, the exhibit focuses on cemetary sites as cultural and historical resources. The "Cemetary Tombstone Directory," whieh lists nearly 9,000 individual tombstone inscriptions from old cemetaries on O'ahu, will also be on display. The exhibit includes 200 color photos of cemetaries and individual tombstones from throughout the state, and is free to the public.
Ala Moana showing earlier this year of Nanette Napoleon PurneH's cemetary photo exhibit drew rave reviews from shoppers and genealogists interested in finding family grave sites.
