Mainland Trade Shows for Hawaii Products
Manufacturers of Hawaii products are being offered another opportunity to penetrate U.S. Mainland markets through four major trade shows in California and Florida in January, with booths being provided by the business development branch (BDB) of the State Department of Business and Eeonomie Development. Exhibitors pay only a $300 registration fee per booth of 100 square feet at eaeh show plus their own transportation and living costs.
The shows are: Miami Gift Show, January 3-6, 1988, at the Miami International Merchandise Mart. Southern Apparel Exhibition, January 9-12, 1988, at the Miami lnternational Merchandise Mart. "Made in Hawaii, U.S.A." (PCT)/Cal Mart Show (fashion industry show), January 15-19, 1988, at the California Mart in Los Angeles.
Ca!ifornia Gift Show, January 24-28, 1988, at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Booth space will be assigned on a first-come, firstserved basis upon receipt of an exhibitor's $300 eheek. Exhibit costs covered by the State of Hawaii include booth and furniture rental, overall decorating, general booth set-up, advertising, and other supporting functions for the entire Hawaii exhibit area at eaeh show.
