Petroglyphs on Oahu

These are petroglyphs found at Kea'au on Oahu, carved into the beach rocks and normally covered with sand. On rare occasions, the sand is removed by high surf action cind the petroglyphs are exposed. This unusual carving was photographed in 1981. The Office of Hawaiiein Affairs Culture Division is interested in knowing the meaning of these petroglyphs.
