Poem Honors Naʻike Cousins Josh, Pa'e

A member of the Aug. 12 Na'ike family outing written up in this newspaper last month reiterated how "greatly" she enjoyed this unique experience, prompting her to write a poem for Cousins Joshua Ha'alili'o Heyer and Pa'e Galdeira. Lucy Rose Johns of Nekoosa, Wis. added also that she enjoyed reading the July and August issues of Ka Kai Ola O OHA whieh were distributed to all ohana members that day.

Since ihat outing, Cousins Josh and Pa'e have disassociated themselves from E Noa Tours and merged with data RES HAWAII with offices at 2250 Kalakaua Ave., Suite 502 G, telephone numbers 926-8851 or 9268852. Cousin Lucy's poem, entitled "Two Kukui Nuts," reads: I holā in the paim of my hand, Two kukui nuts from the state tree of Hawaii Strong and Shining,

Of similar origin yef unique. They are the representation o/ two Natiue souls, lsland born and bred Nurtured by laua rocks and tradewinds. They remind me of a people seueral time zones and half an oeean away. People with a strong spirit, a strong tradition, and a strong honesty People with a shining personality, a shining welcoming smile, and a shining future, People like Cousin Joshua and Cousin Pa'e. — Lucy Rose Johns
