State Plan Meetings
Public information meetings on revisions to the Hawaii State Plan have been scheduled by the State Department of Planning and Eeonomie Development. The Plan, enacted in 1978, is meant to reflect the changing needs and priorities of Hawaii. DPED encourages all citizens to take part in the review process and express your views on the future of Hawaii. Copies of reports of preliminary findings and recommendations on these revisions are available for review at public libraries or at any of the Governor's liaison offices in Hilo, Lihue, Wailuku, Kailua-Kona, Molokai, Lanai City and the DPED office in Honolulu.
The schedule, with all starting times at 7 p.m., follows: Tuesday, Apr. 30 — Kauai War Memorial Convention Hall, Lihue. Wednesday, May 1 — Pearl City Highlands Elementary School Cafetorium. Tliursday, May 2 — Kahului Library. Monday, May 6 — Lanai Community-School Library. Tuesday, May 7 — Kaneohe Regional Library. Wednesday, May 8 — University of Hawaii at Hilo, Campus Center, Room 306. Monday, May 13 — Kealakehe Elementary School Cafetorium, Kailua-Kona. Wednesday, May 15 — Mitchell Pauole Center, Kaunakakai. Thursday, May 16 — State Capitol Auditorium, Honolulu.
