STATE ART NOW ON DISPLAY AT OHA

Just before Christmas the State Foundation on Culture and the Arts delivered and installed long awaited works of art at the OHA ofFice in Flonolulu. The pieces selected are: "Aunt Jennie Wilson," a 1982 black and white photograph; and "Iolani Luahine & Tom Hiona," a 1976 black and white photograph, both by Francis Haar. Other pieces are: "Head of the Elderly Lili'uokalani," a 1982 peneil drawing by Mariana Pineda; "Anaehoomalu," an 1968 intaglio print by

John Slivon; "Tutu's Ipu," a 1983 ceramic/ sennet pot by Christina Cowan; "Lono" a 1975 colograph and "Cook as Lono" a 1975 oil, both by Edward Stascak. Another art work, a tall sculpture by Rocky Jensen will be installed in the early part of this new year. While visiting the office please take a look at the art works and also at the large portrait of Queen Lili'uokalani whieh was donated to the Office of Hawaiian Affairs by Auntie Lydia Maioho.
