The Board ot Directors of the Anahola Hawaiian Homes Association met recently with State Representati\es Peter K. Apo to focus on the issues of Eeonomie and Social de\elopment of the area. With a lot of aloha and hard work. they have been teaching their children of their neh heritage, planning for the expansion of their Clubhouse. and setting goals that will help to develop the area economically. With technical assistance from agencies such as the Office of Hawaiian Affairs, the Association expects to gain recognition throughout the State as a Community that has looked within itself to solve its problems.

Friends and relati\es from as far awa\ as South Carolina gathered at the Kapaa Neighborhood Center on Apnl 8th, to honor the Rev. Elinor Wong on her 75th birthday. The Rev. Wong, who's known throughout the State for her good deeds, was also celebrating her 29th year as the Kahu of Ke Akua Mana Church of the Living God.

On March 12, Mama Wong, as she is affectionately called, was presented the "Na Wahine Hanohano 'o Kaua'i" award for outstanding achievement in the field of religion by a Hawaiian woman.
