Ka Nupepa Kuokoa

            E KA NUPEPA KUOKOA E; ALOHA KAUMAKA OE:  Ka hale makeke a ka manu, kahi e o-na nuiia nei e na tausani pua lehua i kau i ka wekiu; na mu-o hinalo aala i kilihuka ua liiliiia o ka hooilo, ka noio nana e kaau nei ina ipuka hale o na keiki o-poo o ka naauao, mai ka ua kiai leo o ka manu o Panaewa i Hawaii, a ka wai kuau-hoe a ka lawai-a i na pali i Kauai, puolo hainaka wale mai hoi o Niihau a ke kiki-i.

            I ka hapalua mua o keia makahiki, ua hoomaopopo iho au i ka ikaika o koonei Luna Makai apana, oia o D. Kaulei; oiai, ua kaikai ia oia ma ka mana o ka olelo a ka Mea Hanahano Gov. P.             E KA NUPEPA KUOKOA E; ALOHA OE:  Ka Hoku Loa malamalama o ko Hawaii Pae Aina.  Eia mai kahi nu hou, ke au aku la i na ale hulilua o ka Moana Pakifika, a halawai aku me oe i ka lai o Honolulu ke oluolu nae i kou manao.

MAKAAINANA O KONA H., HAWAII.

            E KA NUPEPA KUOKO E; ALOHA OE:  E oluolu paha oe e hookomo iho ma kahi kaawale o kou mau aoao i keia mau hopuna olelo i hoikeia maluna, "He olelo pane ina Makaainana o Kona Hema, Hawaii," a penei ka'u olelo e pane ai:

            Ua ike au i na manao o oukou e ko Kona Hema Hawaii ma ke "Kuokoa" o ka la 13 o Augate o keia makahiki, e olelo ana, "He leo no Kona Hema, Hawaii."

            No ko makou ike e lalau ana na Elele o oukou me he aama la ka pii i ka pali, a pela ka paha makou e lalau pu ai, a pii pu i ka lapa manu ole, o ko makou hoopilimeaai auanei ia mamuli o na Kuhina ame na 'Lii?

Makena Hula ma Halehaku.

 

            E KA NUPEPA KUOKOA E; ALOHA OE:  E oluolu oe e ka Luna Hooponopono o ke Kuokoa, a hookomo iho i kela mau wahi hua e kau ae la maluna, "Makena Hula ma Halehaku."  Ma kahi i haiia ae la maluna, malaila kahi nui loa o ka hula, ma ka hale o kekahi kanaka o Kamaikaaloa kona inoa, malaila kahi e hula mau ai kela la i keia la, a penei ka hana ana a ua kanaka nei ina he haumana komo hou aku i kana pa hula, alaila, ninau aku la oia i ua haumana nei, "e hoohiki mai auanei oe e noho mau loa ma ka'u pa hula?"  "Ae," alaila, pule aku la oia i ke Akua penei:  "Kukuhi mai i ke kea, ka inoa o ka makuu, ame ke keehi, ame ke kaulawaha, ame ke apoopu Amene."  Pela mau iho la ka hana mau ana a ua kanaka apiki nei.
