"Ua mae kakou a pau me he lau ia." Isaia 64. 6. Ua pae pinepine no Ka leo no ko keia ao, "He lepo oe; nolaila mai; Malaila no e hoi ai." Ke mae nei kakou pu a pau, E like maoli me ka lau; Na pua hoi i helelei, Pela kakou e haule nei. A wela iki mai ka la, Mae koke ko kakou mau lau; Nou mai ka ino—aia ka! Ko kakou nani nei ; ua pau! Auwe ko kakou make e! Auhea la hoi e malu ai? Aole anei he ola hou ? He ola loa no kakou ? O kau olelo, e lesu, He oiaio, oia mau; Ka poe hahai mamuii ou, He ola loa ko lakou.
