War stamp and bond sales foi* the Kamehameha Sehool for Boy» is on its way with the ninth grade civics in change, under the direction of Mr. Leslie Crit>ley, faculty instructor for soe i a 1 aeienee. Secretaries were elected by the students of eaeh class | and their job is to collect the i money that is invested in war stamps . and bonds during the : week. Stamp books for '10 and 25 cent stamps were issued the first day of the drive. Monday and Thursday of the week are set aside ior thē selling of stamps.
The secretaries of_,each class are as follows: 8-A, Alex Bell; 8B, Meiville Turner; 9-A, Robert Mooie; 9-B, Samuel Kalili; 9-C, Einest Duva'uchelle; 10-A, Albert McGdrn; IG-B, Alvin Aona; 10-G, Edwin Beamer; Low 11-A, Elmer Kar.eta; Low 11-B, Paul Brede; High 11-A, Rayinond Aea; High 11-B, Horace Chang; 12-A, Volmar Crahbe, and 12-B, Npnnan Rosehill.
The tot-al purchases for the year 1942-43 amounted to $53,806.70. lnvestments whieh were made for the year 1942-43 are K. A. A., $12,000.00; Faōulty, $21,059.00; High 11, $2,142.25; Low 11, 3,434.00; Tenth, $2,088.75; Ninth, $9,316.00, and Eighth, $3,816.70. 'Hy TIIOMAS SEE A new group of students have asHjimed the iresponsibilities as the Kamehameha Sch<>ol choir for Lhe school year 1943-44 and will sing every Sunday during ehapel services. Tlie choir is made up of the k)w-eleventh boys and the tenth grade girls. They are, however, six juniors from the School ior girls who sing in the choir. They are as follow: Helen Beamer, Josephine_ Enos, Carmen Jaurcz, Elizabeth Kauka, Myrtle May Prendegast, and Irene Loo. These girls will also servc as usherettes d'uring the rest of the school year. Altogcther there are 37 boys and 33 girls in the choir, making a total of 70 students.
The girls are supervised by Miss Laura E. Brown, their mustc teacher. Miss Brown is also the organist at ehapel services.
.Mr. Frank P. Kemohan is tlie boys' music instructor and director of the choir.
