After weighlng and mueh cōn : " sideratlon I have oome to the eoneīualon that W. H. Beera is the proper one to fill the vacancy. Other candidates could not he compared with W. H. Beers, and for the following reasons: "First. He (W V H. Beers). ,knows law. Second. He will not hesitate in , answerlng questions of lāw, whieh may eome up ln the legislature "and especlally when hilla are in- ! troduced by members of the legislature, and many of them mayi rtot even knaw the "results or consequences when said bills beeome law". Third. He understands the Eng'Hsh language, and would see to it that no law is passed, whieh would be detrimental to the publie, especially to the Cofunty of Uawaii; and by electing him the tax payers (County of Hawail) would save money by not hlring "a lawyer or lawyets to represent our county.
Fciurth. He is kind and the people would not hesitate in see!ng and consulting him In mattera for the publlc good. And above all things, hē has been educated in a law school and has been admitted to pr&otice before all courts of the Territory, "the State of Michigan and the Supreme Court of the ITnited States." m These are eound reasons, and I be!ieVe this man, W H. BEERS, should be our Senator to take the plaee left vacant by Abe. THEREPORE, I humbly. ask the voters of the County of Hawaii, that we unanSmo\isly vote for W. H. BEERS, on election day, as our Senator from the Island of Hawaii, and because of the reason» I ha v e truthfully stated. I am, Very faithfully, Jos; N.
