Coriiiag telescope mirror, largest aiid costliest pieee ot glass in the %orlt|, has just arrived at Tasadena, Oal., aboard a specially constructed flat car, after being uiade ready for four years grinding in & dustless labat the California Institute o£ Technology. Nearly 18 feet across and honeycombed on the back side to reduce weight, the mirror still weighs 20 tons !and took nearly a year to eool after it was cast at the Corning Glass Works, Corning, K Y.

After it is properly ground it will be installed in ifs telescope oi\ Palotoar Mountain in Southern California.
