cnre increased appropriations for establishing aids to navigation in Puget Sound Waters. Three particular recommendations are made for Puget Sound. The lighthouse service has recommended a light and fog bell at Battery Point, at the entrance to the Sound, while mariners ask that an automatic horn or steam whistle, be placed there instead. The petition further urges that the common hell buoy off Point Partridge be replaced with a gas buoy, and that Burrows Island lighthouse and fog signal, which has been recommended by the lighthouse service, he pl<* vided with a steam whistle.
