new Hackfeld scow and she will probably be ready to go into commission within a few days. The C. S. A. Transport Sheridan sailed from San Francisco on Jan uary 1 for Guam and Manila. She will not stop at Honolulu. When the weather changes the tug Eleu will pull the sunken piles out by the third buoy. These piles have long been a menace to yachts and the Public Works Department has con seated to remove them. The schooner Fannie Adele is on the marine railway and will shortly sail for San Francisco where she will engage in the Pacific coasting trade. The Adele has been engaged In the inter-island trade fo*- the i.'t two years under the management of the Inter-Island Steam Navigation Company. Captain Godfrey will take her up to the coast. She has been bought by the Henry ship chandlery Co., and will probably be used as a lumber vessel.
