A RARE STAMP.

From the Denver Republican. If any of the good people of Denver can discover among their old letters one bearing a stamp Issued by the government of the Island of Mauritius in 1840 in denomination of one * shilling, they can make an excellent bargain with J. M. Bartels of Boston . and Carl Milladt of Baden. Oermanv. philatelists. Mr. Milladt is in search of a Mauritius stamp of the issue mentioned. Among the collection valued at $70,000, which these two gentlemen have, is one of the stamps of that issue, which is valued at $3,000. There are not mere than four or five of them in existence, but three of them have been located. Mr Milladt is anxious to secure another of the same issue, a# he will then liable to fill an order placed with him by an eccentric German philatelist, who w ishes Po add the pair to his collection. For a pair he is to pay 15. 000 thalers, equivalent to $lO,BOO in American money.
